Clevelanders for Afterschool
is a coalition of families, teachers, and community organizations that recognize the importance of CMSD afterschool programs in providing safety, academic support, life skills, and in building community for Cleveland students and their families.
CMSD’s State-mandated Deficit Reduction Plan for the upcoming school years has zeroed-out all funding for it’s 93 afterschool programs.
These programs serve more than 7,200 students across the city, providing a safe space for students to socialize, receive academic support, and build community.
